The cubes can also be accurately weighed and measured for minimal waste, are easy to transport and ideal for limited storage space. Recommended for growing horses (moderate to rapid growth), underweight horses, performance horses, mares in late pregnancy and lactating, breeding stallions, senior horses, horses with sensitivity to carbohydrates and horses with gastric ulcers. - Weigh the amount of forage provided to each horse to ensure you are feeding the proper amount.
- Gradually replace existing hay with Country Companion forage over a 7-10 day period.
- Replace existing hay on a 1 to 1 basis with Country Companion forage.
- Never feed moldy or insect infested forage to horses.
- Always provide free access to fresh, clean water.
- Recommended to be fed wet (2:1 water to cube ratio) soaked in water for 30 minutes.
- Calculation example: 1,000 pound (horse weight) x 0.02 (2% target feeding rate) = 20 LBS per day.
- Feed is perishable. Store in a cool, dry place away from insects and rodents.
