RABBIT FEED
Country Companion Rabbit Feed is a complete feed for all rabbits and is formulated with 16% protein, 2.5% fat and 18% fiber. It’s a nutritionally balanced formula for rabbits of all ages and comes in a pelleted form that can help decrease waste and dust. Our Rabbit Feed also includes balanced amino acids to support muscle development and fur growth and contains probiotics and high fiber for digestive health.

- Feed by weight, not by volume.
- Weigh the feed in the container you will be using and subtract the weight of the container.
- Fresh, clean water should be available at all times.
- DOES JUST KINDLING: 2 - 3 OZ per doe first day. Increase gradually by 1 OZ per doe per day to free-choice feeding within 4-5 days.
- LACTATING DOES: Feed free-choice.
- GESTATING DOES: 4 - 6 OZ per doe per day.
- WEANED BUNNIES-GROWER 4-12 WEEKS, BREEDER 12 WEEKS OF AGE: Feed free-choice.
- DRY DOES/BUCKS: 4-6 OZ per head per day.
The pellets may be self-fed - that is, kept before the animals at all times-or hand fed. Self-feeding is recommended for does with litters to help reduce labor and achieve rapid growth. Self-feeding is also recommended for weaned bunnies. If hand-feeding, the number of feedings per day is a matter of preference. It is important, though, to feed the animals the same number of times each day at approximately the same time. Monitor body condition and adjust feeding levels to maintain desired body condition.
It is not necessary to feed hay with Country Feeds Rabbit Pellets. High-quality hay may be fed, if desired. Hay must be fine-stemmed, leafy, green in color, well-cured and free from mildew or mold. Alfalfa, clover, sweet clover, lespedeza, soybean and peanut hay are suitable. Cutting hay into 3 or 4-inch lengths will help avoid waste. Provide plenty of fresh, clean water and salt blocks or salt spools at all times
REMINDER: Feed is perishable. Store feed in a clean, dry, well-ventilated area protected from rodents and insects. Do not feed moldy or insect infested feed to animals.
